ABOUT PETAR
PETAR PAVLOVIC – KITESURFING INSTRUCTOR
I am Petar Pavlovic, born and raised in Croatia, I lived in a small village of Istria by the Adriatic Sea, Ližnjan.
Already very active as a boy, I was training hard everyday and had a promising future as a professional football player until the day my big brother showed me what was kitesurfing. I immediately fell in love with this extreme sport and gave all my time and energy to learn this fascinating discipline as fast as I could.
From this day I knew I would live for kitesurfing
Unfortunately there was no kitesurf school around at the time and only few windy days on my home spot but after one year of perseverance around my brother I finally managed to get on the board and to ride.
From this day I knew I would live for kitesurfing. But being only 16 years old and my relatives expecting me to become a professional soccer player I had to wait quietly.
It’s only when I turned 19 years old when all my football contracts were over that I decided to purchase my biggest dream. Full of ambitions but no money in my pocket I started working as a fisherman on the boat of my brother gathering enough money to buy my first plane ticket.
First destination Sal in Cabo Verde. Exciting but also very scary since I was still a young boy not speaking a word of English. I was deeply convinced that if I could learn how to become a kitesurf instructor I would be able to live this dream and kitesurf everyday.
After many years of teaching kitesurfing in many different destinations such as Brazil, Vietnam, Greece, France and of course Croatia, I am still living this dream today around the world and I want to share my experience and knowledge with you.
